The new Can-Am Outlander 1000 XT All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) have been completely reinvented, boasting an incredible power-to-weight ratio, along with advancements that increase ride quality while offering more precise handling.
The 2012 Can-Am Outlander 1000 XT features a superlative comfort level that not only makes it a viable option for utility purposes, but also furthers its appeal to trail riders and hardcore off-road enthusiasts by enhancing its proven high-performance characteristics.
BRP engineers took a pioneering approach to all aspects of this new-generation Outlander’s chassis. Using knowledge of new-wave geometries gained through years of testing, the results are principles of design BRP calls Geometric Contact Control or G2. This allows the chassis of the next-generation Outlander to deliver the performance the Can-Am brand is known for, yet enhance the overall comfort of the vehicle at all levels of riding.
But it is not the new G2 chassis alone that contributes to the superior handling and stability of this ATV. Innovations such as BRP’s Tri-Mode Dynamic Power Steering, Visco-Lok QE auto-locking front differential and Torsional Trailing Arm Independent (TTI) Rear Suspension have changed performance expectations of the modern-day recreation-utility ATV.
The next generation Outlander maintains its unrivalled engine performance with a new 82 horsepower, 976cc Rotax V-Twin engine. In addition, the Can-Am Outlander 1000 XT confirms its title as the world’s most powerful stock ATV with a stellar power-to-weight ratio of 11hp per 100 pounds. The stylish Outlander 1000 XT offers precision handling and point-and-shoot dynamics that mesh well with its newfound comfort levels, revitalised ergonomics, improved conveniences and no-compromise makeup.
