SHIMANO™S LURE PROJECT VIBES

Metal vibe lures have sure come a long way in the last decade. While not a new concept, these days, switched-on anglers have realised that there is more to getting fish to eat them than just all-out speed.

The Lure Project Metal Vibe is the result of collaboration between Dunphy Sports and Shimano Japan to come up with a versatile lure that could be used in a variety of fishing situations, from high-speed, cast-and-retrieve fishing to jigging.

They come in six appealing colours and two weights: 3.5g and 5g. There are two towing points (fitted with a sturdy snap clip) that changes the action of the lure. The forward hole gives the vibe a stronger action, while the rear hole produces a more subtle movement. Their thin profile means they can be cranked fast, worked slower, and yo-yoed in snags and along rock retaining walls. They are designed to catch many species, including bream, flathead, tailor and salmon.

Thanks to their weight-forward design, they practically cast out of sight on light spinning gear.

The tiny Owner trebles the Vibes come fitted with are incredibly sharp.
