MINELAB GPX 6000

As you travel around this great country, wondering what lies beneath the water, it can certainly pay to give a thought to what lies beneath the dirt.

Many dream of that shiny yellow stuff that sends pulses racing. If it’s crossed your mind to find gold, you’ve probably pictured hours wading through riverbeds, panning for the tiniest fleck. Or if hitting the jackpot is more your mojo, you may have imagined metal detecting — dragging a clunky old machine around and burying your head in a manual just to turn the damn thing on.

In 2022, times have changed, including metal detecting. Minelab, an Australian company at the forefont of metal detecting technology, is on a mission to make detecting simple, enjoyable and successful. From first-time gold hunters to long-time prospecting professionals, the search for gold just got faster, lighter and simpler than ever with the new GPX 6000, powered by GeoSense-PI™ technology.

Find all gold

GeoSense-PI™ technology quickly and precisely analyses gold signals buried in the ground, so you’ll be able to hear all gold pieces clearly. It works by analysing gold signals while vanishing difficult ground signals like mineralised soil. GPX 6000® cleverly ignores soil while letting the good stuff shine through. From tiny tic-tac pieces of gold to that eureka ‘let’s buy a mansion’ nugget, Minelab’s new GPX 6000® can find them all.

Easy expert

Gone are the days of tricky menus, confusing navigation and manual procedures. With an ‘Easy Expert’ system, Minelab combines automatic features and an intuitive interface, so you’ll be an expert from the moment you turn on your GPX 6000®. Because ‘Automatic Ground Balance’ continuously adapts to changing soil conditions as you swing, there’s no need to adjust any settings. Finding gold has never been easier.

Lighter swing, longer detecting

Detect longer with premium ergonomics for a lighter swing. Weighing a feathery 2.1 kg, the new Minelab GPX 6000® boasts serious features like carbon-fiber shafts, a streamlined control box, and new Li-Ion quick-release rechargeable battery. With up to eight hours of battery life, GPX 6000® won’t give up the hunt before you do. Packing down to a mere 67cm wide — about the size of a standard pillow — throw a GPX 6000® in the back of your ride and everyday will be a new adventure.

Choice of coils

Coil options include a versatile 11” Monoloop coil for tight spaces and pinpointing tiny gold pieces, a 14” Double-D coil to detect gold accurately even in salty environments, and a 17” Monoloop coil to search areas faster and find big nuggets. All coils are waterproof to 1m (3.3’).

Loud-and-clear audio

Whether listening with the loud-and-clear external speaker or the supplied wireless Bluetooth® headphones, you’ll never miss out on the sound of gold.
