PA: Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge

Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge is an ideal base to explore the wilderness of Australia’s Top End – Mary River Wetlands, Shady Camp Reserve and Kakadu National Park.

Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge is located in the heart of the beautiful Mary River Wetlands, about two hours’ drive east of Darwin via the Arnhem Highway. The lodge is nestled beside a monsoonal vine forest, a short distance from one of Australia’s premier land-based barramundi fishing hotspots, Shady Camp.

If you don’t have a boat, Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge has a number of Polycraft boats available for hire, as well as a guide service.

The Lodge offers budget and deluxe air-conditioned rooms with private facilities. The 24 rooms are surrounded by shady lawn areas and wildlife, including the large population of agile wallabies. All rooms are near the pool, bar and bistro. Room prices start from $A130.

Powered camping sites are available for tent and caravan enthusiasts. Sites cost $A17.50 per person (children under 12 years cost $6 and up to 5 years are free).
