The many fans of Shimano Baitrunner will be excited by the realease of the latest Baitrunner OC, or Oceania. This range has been specifically designed for Australia and Australian species, which means that anglers in Australia can look forward to a strong reliable product. The Baitrunner has deep roots in the Australian fishing scene, having been first conceptualised right here on Australian shores. This latest release still comprises a lot of the features that have made the Baitrunner a household name in this country, but it also comprises advanced technologies that are going to take this iconic range of reels well into the future. The series comes in 4000, 6000, 8000 and larger 12000 size and all feature the original Baitrunner system. This new range now comes with a replaceable spool clicker, with Vari-speed oscillation to make sure that you get a perfect line lay with Power Pro and other braided lines and with Propulsion Line management to give you that extra distance while casting. The handles have been upgraded from the B series, while maintenance on the reels has been made a lot easier, with the inclusion of an easy access oil maintenance port. All models feature three double-sided, shielded, stainless-steel bearings and an anti-reverse bearing. One major change for the legion of the original B series fans is that the Baitrunner lever actually moves toward the body of the reel when you wind the handle and engage the drag and gearing system. This new, upgraded series of Baitrunner OC reels is once again destined to show anglers why the Shimano Baitrunners are the benchmark in this category.
