Bar Crusher

Hardcore fishing boats for hardcore anglers

Tired of that hard, pounding ride you get in other alloy boats? Looking for a versatile aluminium fishing boat with the ability to slice through metre-plus chop when the wind comes up? The search starts and ends with Bar Crusher!

Whether your passion sees you cruising the highway following the east coast marlin bite, or heading off the beaten track exploring remote Top End estuaries, every model in Bar Crusher's purpose-built range is ready for action.

Manufactured from heavy-duty, pre-stressed, 3-5mm marine-grade plate aluminium (depending on model) and incorporating a range of exclusive technologies, these expertly-engineered vessels boast all the functional advantages of aluminium - light to tow, economical to power, a breeze to launch and retrieve, and easy to maintain - yet deliver a ride so soft you'll think you're in a fibreglass boat!

Available in cuddy, hard-top and centre-cab series, ranging 5.30 m to 6.40 m in length, these tough and durable vessels are hardcore fishing boats for hardcore anglers.

What really sets Bar Crusher boats apart from the pack is their amazingly smooth ride - a far cry from the pounding, bone-jarring ride common among other aluminium boats as soon as the wind picks up.

The ultra-smooth ride delivered by every Bar Crusher boat is a result of the high-tech Waveslicer non-pounding, deep-V hull.

Designed without strakes, and built using the latest in CNC cutting technology and the best welding equipment available in the world today, the hull has the perfect amount of surface area, chine and V that allows each boat to cut beautifully through chop, hold its course in a following sea and turn hard and flat without cavitation.

This super-responsive design not only increases comfort and safety, it provides further confidence when negotiating bar crossings. The lightweight and smooth hull ensures the boat planes quickly with minimum power to get you offshore and back to port in one piece.

Bar Crusher boats are tough. There's no need to worry about the unavoidable knocks and bumps experienced during launching and retrieving, having a green billfish or shark thrashing about beside the boat, or navigating in rough conditions - these boats are built to handle it all.

Bar Crusher's Rigideck sub-floor system and fully-welded floor gives every boat a true commercial strength build quality.

The subframe consists of six fully-welded (not stitch-welded!) stringers which run from bow to stern. These stringers are folded, to provide additional strength and surface area for welding, and have sections of plate welded between to make the whole sub-floor into a fully boxed and triangulated frame - similar to an aeroplane wing.

This system is designed to minimise twist or racking, which is the number one cause of fatigue cracking in other aluminium boats.

For even further strength, the checkerplate floor is completely welded into the hull. It's then pressure tested to ensure each individual buoyancy chamber does its job. The result is a floor that's not only tough, it's quick and easy to clean with a simple hose out after fishing - something all anglers will appreciate!

Bar Crusher has solved the seemingly eternal problem of smooth ride vs stability at rest with its innovative QuickFlow water ballast system. This patent-pending system is the secret to Bar Crusher's superior stability and is built into every boat.

A cavity that runs the full length of the keel (open at the transom) quickly fills with water when the boat stops, which lowers the chines into the water. This lowering of the boat sees the outer corners of the hull just sitting in the water, which provides greater stability, even in less than favourable conditions.

The ballast water is jettisoned in seconds as the boat moves forward to allow it to leap effortlessly onto the plane, faster than many other boats.

Generally speaking, a deep-V hull provides a smooth ride but results in more roll at rest. Contrastingly, a flat hull with a shallow-V has great stability at rest but is harder riding.

As Bar Crusher boats are designed for serious anglers, every boat is fitted as with plenty of functional features.

Rod holders, livebait tanks, in-floor fish storage tanks, berley buckets, large-volume storage pockets, navigation lights, dual battery systems, step-through transoms, marlin boards / swim platforms, swim / dive ladders and, of course, easy-to-clean checkerplate self-draining decks are among a long list of fishing-related features.

Large-capacity underfloor fuel storage will ensure your boat will take you wherever you want to go, while toughened safety glass windscreens further add to the robustness of every Bar Crusher. Some models even feature a foldable roof / windscreen for low-profile towing and easy storage underneath the carport or in the garage.

Even though Bar Crusher boats are designed and built as tough fishing rigs, it doesn't mean onboard comfort has been overlooked. Hydraulic steering, well-positioned and comfortable helm and passenger seating, folding rear seating, bunk infills and cushions, and marine toilets are also on the features list. Factory-fitted marine electronics suites can also be installed to order.

Nothing has been overlooked in the design of every Bar Crusher boat - not even the sheer ease of maintenance to ensure many enjoyable years of hassle-free boating.

Supplied with the purchase of every boat, Bar Crusher's innovative owner manual DVD provides a range of helpful hints covering everything from towing and launching/retrieving to re-fuelling and cleaning your boat.
