BRP APPOINTS TELWATER AS EVINRUDE DISTRIBUTOR

The multi-national company Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) has appointed Telwater, Australia’s largest manufacturer of aluminium boat and trailer packages, as the national distributor of Evinrude E-TEC outboards. Paul Phelan, Managing Director of Telwater, said: “Since 2011, we have been working with BRP to offer quality Telwater boat and Evinrude E-TEC engine packages. This new agreement will further strengthen our collaboration and ensure we continue to offer consumers products that provide the best boating experience possible,” Mr Phelan explained. “As the boating industry continues to evolve, it makes sense that we grant the distribution of our product to the leading boating manufacturer in Australia that can supply factory-backed and fitted boat, motor and trailer packages that offer the highest level of innovation and quality on the market,” said Gregoire Dupont, BRP’s General Manager for Asia Pacific. “With a proven track record spanning almost 30 years in the boating industry, Telwater is a perfect distribution partner to provide sales and aftersales support and to expand the reach of our engine technology.” Australian owned and operated, Telwater is the largest aluminium boat manufacturer in Australia producing in excess of 10,000 boats and 6,000 trailers annually. Supported through an extensive dealer network across Australia, Telwater is the company behind renowned boat brands including Quintrex, Stacer, Savage and Yellowfin. The initial agreement will cover the distribution of engines only. During the transition, BRP will continue to be responsible for all genuine Evinrude parts, accessories and clothing, as well as technician training and warranty administration. BRP EXPANDS RANGE OF G2 OUTBOARD ENGINES

BRP has released the next generation of  Evinrude E-TEC G2 models: the E-TEC G2 150, 150 H0, 175 and 200. The new Evinrude E-TEC G2 models reportedly deliver up to 30% more torque, up to 15% better fuel efficiency, and up to 75% fewer total regulated emissions compared to leading four-stroke outboard engines. The new models will also feature a distinctive, customisable look that allows consumers to match their boat. The latest G2 models are available with integrated Dynamic Power Steering and i-Trim, Evinrude’s intelligent trim system, to assist with safer handling and optimising performance in a variety of sea conditions.  Incorporating steering mechanisms into the mid-section of the engines also simplifies rigging for a cleaner transom. A 20-inch TRAC+ midsection on the 150HP models with i-Trim is also available for boaters who want a lighter package without integrated power steering. With no required break-in period and featuring standard push-button automatic winterization, the E-TEC G2 product line is covered by Telwater’s 3 + 2 year warranty. E-TEC G2 engines are the first completely customisable outboards and, new for this year, now available in Mossy Oak and Ice Blue. The new G2 engines will be available to purchase in Australia from Evinrude’s extensive dealer network later in 2016. www.evinrude.com/en-au www.facebook.com/EvinrudeANZ
