Daiwa – Looking towards the next fifty years

For 50 years Daiwa has been committed to providing the world’s anglers with the most technically advanced fishing tackle available on the planet. And for 50 years that is exactly what Daiwa has achieved.

In 1958 Daiwa’s founder Yoshio Matsui had a vision: To create the finest quality fishing tackle on the market. His vision was fulfilled when Daiwa was established on the back of his beliefs. Yoshio Matsui believed passionately in the combination of design, innovation and high quality, and this philosophy lead to anglers worldwide acknowledging the name Daiwa as offering the best fishing tackle obtainable.

Today millions of anglers worldwide enjoy the satisfaction of owning and using a broad range of Daiwa products. Their dreams and angling milestones have been realised due to the key principles of design, innovation and quality that Yoshio Matsui founded his company upon. Daiwa’s strong history of innovation – innovation that has shaped and re-defined the face of today’s fishing tackle – is set to continue into the future with renewed vigour. Daiwa maintain the aim of producing world-class tackle via innovation that will change the function and style of tackle into the future.

The legacy of Daiwa’s innovation can be seen in virtually any fishing tackle made today. The impact of their design and creativity has had a dramatic impact on modern fishing tackle.

Not only is 2008 the year of Daiwa’s 50th anniversary but it’s also the year that Daiwa Australia introduce its most comprehensive range of tournament fishing tackle. The debut of the Australian developed ground breaking new Saltiga S-Extreme range to the new developments of fishing styles with the Saltiga Bay Jigging rods.

2009 also sees the release of the Australian designed ranges like the new Heartland XA rods/reels, Emblem Pro rods/reels and Luvias rods to name a few,  these are a true testament to Daiwa’s dedication to providing the highest quality tackle to the Australian angler.

The year of 2008 sees Daiwa as the world leaders in innovation, design and development.

While a successful 50th anniversary is something to be proud of, Daiwa suggest that it is the future that should really excite us and Daiwa eagerly look forward to offering customers only the best into the future.
