DOMETIC FOLLOW THE SUN VEHICLES GET CRUISE-READY WITH LUXURY WAECO FIT-OUTS


The winners, handpicked from 8,000 entries Australia-wide, were chosen as ambassadors for leading leisure products company Dometic. Each couple won more than $35,000* in prizes including a complete makeover of their caravans and a three month expenses paid road trip around Australia. The couples, Kellie and Corey Stephenson from Charters Towers, Queensland, Denise and Terry Park from Palmwoods, Queensland, and Michelle and Michael Lucas from East Ballina, New South Wales, will visit some of Australia’s most exciting destinations in their newly renovated caravans. Kellie and Corey’s Stephenson’s Supreme Pop Top caravan now boasts a host of luxury additions, including a Dometic RM4605 3-Way Refrigerator (RRP $3295), with plenty of room for all the family’s favourite foods; a Dometic 8500 12’ Awning in Sky Blue (RRP $1299) for that all-important outdoor room; and a Truma Aventa Comfort roof top air conditioner (RRP $2,395) with reverse cycle heating and cooling. Also on the Stephensons’ “shopping list” were an external WAECO CFX-65 65l fridge/freezer (RRP $1449) for added cold storage, and a Sovereign Bushman RV Explorer gas barbecue with flat plate (RRP $650) for tasty meals al fresco. Other must-haves for the Stephensons included a WAECO PerfectPower PP602 inverter (RRP $155), allowing them quick and easy use of everything from their laptop computer to hair straighteners, and a WAECO Portable Solar Panel Kit PS80 (RRP $499) for silent, reliable round-the-clock power in even the most remote locations. Denise and Terry Park’s Jayco 5th Wheeler has been decked out with a WAECO CoolMatic CD-30 drawer fridge (RRP $799), a Dometic Power awning (RRP $1,490) and a Truma E 2400 gas air heater (RRP $1,999) to warm up those chilly nights. Terry will find reversing into park sites a breeze now with the WAECO PerfectView RVS 550 5’ reversing video system with camera and monitor, while Denise’s dream inclusion was the Dometic DW 2440 Dishwasher (RRP $965). The Lucas family’s much-loved Goldstream Pop Top caravan, which has already seen a great deal of Australia, is now more comfortable than ever, thanks to several of the above inclusions, as well as a new Truma Boiler B14 gas/electric hot water system ($999), Dometic External shower (RRP $279), Dometic 8500 13’ Awning in Sky Blue (RRP $1319) and Dometic 3 + 1 grill (RRP $999).
