SMARTER, SHARPER AND MORE CONNECTED

Lowrance continues to push boundaries in marine electronics with its latest software release. This feature-packed update brings powerful new functionality, refined integrations, and a smoother on-water experience for anglers who demand precision and reliability.

In addition to new high-tech Anchoring modes with the Lowrance Recon electric outboard, the new 25.2 software update enhances ActiveTarget and ActiveTarget 2 performance with more visual clarity and control. This is the HDS16 Pro in Forward and Scout split-screen view.

25.2 software update covers the following products:

Multifunction Displays:  HDS PRO, HDS LIVE, HDS Carbon, Elite FS.

Sonar Modules and Transducers:  SonarHub, S5100, S3100,

S3100H, StructureScan 3D.

Live Sonar: ActiveTarget and  ActiveTarget2.

Next-level control for trolling motors

For owners of Lowrance and Simrad electric-steer motors such as Ghost, Ghost X and Recon, the 25.2 release introduces three standout features — Anchor at a Distance, Anchor Orbit, and Depth Routing.

  • Anchor at a Distance lets you set your spot from the display and anchor several metres away, keeping the boat clear of the fish zone for stealthier presentations.

  • Anchor Orbit enables your trolling motor to automatically circle a target, helping you cast from every angle to trigger more strikes.

  • Depth Routing automatically creates navigation paths within a chosen depth range, so your motor keeps the boat working the right contour while you focus on fishing.

Sharper, smarter ActiveTarget imaging

Following on from version 25.1, the new update enhances ActiveTarget and ActiveTarget 2 performance with more visual clarity and control. Highlights include:

  • The new Depth Offset** feature for truer water-column representation.

  • Reverse Range settings to fine-tune how much area appears behind the transducer.

  • Three fresh colour palettes designed to reveal fish hiding in structure or grass.

  • Updated on-screen range controls which make operation faster and more intuitive.

  • System calibration and contrast improvements which deliver a cleaner, more detailed picture of what’s below.

Expanded third-party integrations

Lowrance displays now offer Bluetooth control of Yak Power digital switching systems, plus tighter Power-Pole integration via the C-Monster Gateway. Users can now control Power-Pole Move trolling motors directly from the display, view battery data with colour-coded status indicators, and prioritise charging — all from a unified interface.

Bug fixes and performance polish

Alongside the upgrades, 25.2 resolves several issues reported in earlier builds — from improved StructureScan3D temperature data and more robust ActiveTarget recording to language-pack and transmission-power fixes.

Ready to upgrade?

The 25.2 software is available now at lowrance.com/downloads or via over-the-air update when your display is online. For best performance, ensure all connected Multi Functional Devices and sonar modules are updated to the same version — and enjoy the smarter, sharper world beneath your hull.
