This model comes standard with Makocraft’s now highly regarded development known as the “Outer Edge Hull System”. This new system refers to the hull shape, which has a reverse chine, giving the hull many impressive qualities: • Superb stability at rest and while traveling. • Great fuel economy — the trapped air releases surface tension, creating less drag and a softer ride. • Tracking is straight and true. The hull is built from 4mm high-tensile plate aluminium using massive longitudinal stringers and a fully welded internal keel. The end result is a hull that is built well over industry standards. The transom is a pod style, which Makocraft call their “Soft Rider” transom. The combination of hull and transom design delivers a ride that has to be experienced to be believed. Hull noise is almost non-existent, which is very unusual for a plate boat. The use of a three quarter length spray chine also keeps the boat very dry in all conditions. The interior layout is fairly straightforward. Two fully upholstered pedestal seats set behind a large three-piece screen, which opens to provide good access to the foredeck and anchor. The sports wheel is set into a moulded dash, with plenty of room for gauges and other instruments to be flush-mounted. Heading aft, the cockpit is huge. Two large side pockets and exceptional free board gives you room for playing the big ones. A rear drop down lounge is an optional extra, and designed to drop down flush so as not to clutter the area. This boat is rated up to 150hp — however, the boat would run efficiently with less power depending on your own exact application.
