Corroboree Billabong is one of the Territory’s most popular fishing destinations and only a short drive from Corroboree Park Tavern. Located on the Arnhem Highway between the Adelaide and Mary Rivers, the Tavern is less than an hour’s drive from most of Darwin and 20 minutes’ drive to the iconic Corroboree Billabong. Just up the road too is the turn-off to Hardies Lagoon, and further along the highway you’ll find the Mary River Bridge Lagoon with its concrete boat ramp. The Tavern caters for most visitors’ needs at an affordable budget, and offers all-in packages with breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Tavern is fully-licensed, with a bottle shop, pokies, ATM, fuel, LPG refills and fishing tackle. Fishing Competitions The Tavern is home to three iconic fishing competitions: Corroboree Park Challenge, Secret Women’s Business Barra Challenge and Territory Freshwater Fly Fishing Open. The historic “Nurses Quarters” – rooms are $70 a night. Fishing Rooms – a bunkhouse-style accommodation at $15 a person a night. Camping – $17.50 a night for an unpowered site and $28 a night for a powered site. The park has several wood-fired BBQs and a refreshing saltwater pool.
