Precision Propellers Inc. is now operating under the new management arrangement as a member of the Yamaha Motor Group. The purpose of the acquisition is to strengthen the production capability and ensure that the high quality of stainless steel propellers supplied with Yamaha outboards, continues. Up until the present, about 50 per cent of PPI’s production has been delivered to Yamaha.The US acquisition of PPI comes on the back of recent announcements of new outboard production facilities in Japan, a new four stroke plant to keep pace with worldwide demand, and the Australian operation is about to move into a new and greatly expanded waterfront facility in Brisbane.Yamaha outboards are available through an Australia-wide network of authorised Yamaha outboard dealers. All Yamaha four stroke outboards are supported with a full four-year manufacturer’s warranty and all two stroke outboards are backed by a three year warranty — standard conditions apply.
