NT Motorcycle Centre…No 1 for Arctic Cat Australia’s All Terrain Vehicle market is expanding rapidly. Hunters, anglers and people who just want to go off road and explore are taking to all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) with gusto. The latest ATV and UTV brand to hit the Australian Market is the well-established American manufacturer, Arctic Cat, and Darwin-based NT Motorcycle Centre is Australia’s number one dealer. Even though the company is new to Australia, Arctic Cat has a strong heritage dating back over 50 years in the United States. 📷 Arctic Cat founder, Edgar Hetteen headed up a team of engineers who built the first snow mobile concept vehicle back in 1954. Based at Thief River Falls, Minnesota, Arctic Cat continues to design, engineer, and manufacture and market all ATVs, Side by Sides and snowmobiles under the Arctic Cat brand name, as well as related parts, garments and accessories. The company markets its products through a network of independent dealers worldwide, and the Arctic Cat brand name is amongst the most widely recognised and respected names in the snowmobile, ATV and Side-by-Side industry. The Arctic Cat range includes three UTV Side by Side vehicles, and over 15 ATVs from 90cc up to the powerful 951cc V-twin. Among these ATVs is the Super Duty Diesel 700, which is now Australia’s first and only diesel ATV on the market. Arctic Cat ATVs are an American quality product with all the essential features for Australian farmers and outdoors enthusiasts. Arctic Cat Australia is continuing to make a great impression on the market, displaying at the key field days across Australia. Arctic Cat Brand Manager, Simon Gloyne, said: “The field days are a great opportunity for the locals to come and see the quality and range of our extensive product line up.”
And Arctic Cat Australia's Shane Ladynski said the brand and product range continues to draw good feedback from the visitors. “We have a solid line up of models offering a variation of specification throughout the range,” Shane said.
“The entry-level 300 has been a huge success at its price, and the mid-range 550XT with power steering, electronic 2WD/4WD shift, front diff lock and class-leading 10in’ suspension is an all round winner. “We also sell units off the stand at these events, recently a 1000 XT. After a brief test ride, the new owner was blown away by the V-twin grunt, and overall specification of the US-built workhorse,” Shane said. Arctic Cat continues to appoint dealers across Australia. One of the first to be appointed was NT Motorcycle Centre in Darwin.
NT Motorcycle Centre has had a very successful start with the brand, and currently stands as the number one dealer in Australia. Popular models in the Territory have been the competition vehicles: the Mudpro ATVs. These vehicles feature high air-intake snorkels, full front and rear bull bars, and a winch.
Equally as popular is the race spec side by side, the Wildcat 1000 X. The Wildcat 1000 X is a serious off-road four wheeler: a dual bucket seat, race vehicle featuring certified rollover protection, 951cc V-Twin liquid-cooled engine with Fox Podium piggy back reservoir shocks with compression adjustment.
